  2. My favorite way to practice selfcare is by taking long nature walk with my dog after a long week.

  3. I love being out in nature either a nice walk or swimming in a local lake. In the winter nice long candle light baths work wonders for me. .

  4. Self care? What’s that? I’d like to believe I practice it, but I’m an exhausted pigeon of a person that lacks said concept of “self-care”. I try, then fail miserably. Haha.

  5. Nice hot shower at the end of the work day, after I put my kids to bed. About all I get LOL

  6. Depends on the day and mood; sometimes it’s a nap, sometimes it’s a shower, sometimes I like to read, or play Minecraft. Yeah, Minecraft is like therapy for me; especially when I live-stream it and have viewers to talk with.. ^.^

  7. My favorite way to practice self-care is to take a bath with epsom salt and lavender essential oil, a good book, and a glass of wine. Especially after a hard workout.

  8. I like to take a long walk around the neighborhood everyday. It helps me unwind!

  9. Mine is simple, but taking a shower and painting my toenails are mine ways to practice self-care. Also, reading!

  10. My favorite self-care is to put my PJs on and watch a good movie……preferably with a glass of wine.

  18. I’m pregnant with #2 right now and I’d love to take a long, hot bath with a glass of wine….but self-care these days is hitting the sack by 8:30. ๐Ÿ™‚

  19. I like to go places like the movies or out to eat by myself. It’s nice to be able to have time to think and relax by myself every now and then.

  20. My favorite way to practice self care is to hide in my bathroom and soak in a nice warm sudsy bath.

  21. Quite time alone, I prefer in nature. Just listening and thinking is the best time to meditate, listen and think, float away, gather myself and come back to earth.

    1. That sounds like a beautiful way to invest in yourself. Being grounded is so important to prevent feelings of overwhelm.

  22. Self care for me is being able to take a bath/shower uninterrupted! I like to follow up with doing my nails and reading an ebook!

  23. Taking time to work out, whether it’s during a nap, while my daughter is awake and watching me (which I like for her to see, but can also be distracting), or a quick moment after putting her to bed.

  24. I started going for a mani-pedi once a month.Can’t even begin to say how glad I am for this “me time”.

  25. I practice self care by keeping my phone on silent since the only people who call me are from work. I enjoy epsom salt baths and essential oils as well.

    1. Yes! Self-care can definitely be a pedicure or a hot bath with new bath salts, but it’s also things like saying no to prevent overextending yourself and letting go of toxic relationships.

  27. Volunteering, hanging out with My sorority sisters and having a job that I love and a family that is happy because that leads to a stress free and happy life ~ that keeps you at inner peace. Inner peace is my key to self care ~ though I do need that adrenaline boost at times because Iโ€™m an adrenaline junkie, the zen of having a peaceful family life, great friends, giving of myself to the community and a workplace that is actually enjoyable to go to is 100% key to keeping me at inner peace. With inner peace Iโ€™m able to stay on top of my auto immune disorder and migraines better which keeps me out of the hospital. Eating healthy, wearing my Fitbit and walking a LOT, drinking lots of water, LAUGHING everyday, reading books and challenging myself to learn more and expand and experience more about not only myself but others on our plantet also is a key to self care!

    When all of that doesnโ€™t work and Iโ€™m not feeling well, I curl up under a soft blanket and my 2 year old cat will give me lots of love, my hubby will rub my head and I will sleep like the dead….

    1. You are amazing! It is hard to stay on top of our health when we’re not already battling a disease, but you’ve been able to find what works for you to achieve that inner peace. Kudos to you!

  28. My favorite way to practice self care is to take a bath, do yoga, read a good book and eat chocolate

  29. Either spending some time by the ocean with my pup or taking a long bath with Lush products!

  30. I get up before the rest of the family, make a hot drink and read, or think, or stretch, whatever I’m feeling. But I enjoy the quiet.

  31. Honestly, sometimes just taking a step back, taking a deep breath, reminding yourself “I love being a mom I love being a mom” is all it really takes.

    And when that doesn’t work. Wine.

  34. I like to run. I can’t wait until the weather gets warmer to run outside more often.

  35. I love it when my husband watches my three kids so I can take a long bike ride by the river. I’ll make myself a yummy green smoothie and pack some of my favorite healthy snacks. When I find a beautiful spot to chill, I’m free to do some art and read my devotional and Bible.   37. My favorite self care is to curl up on my couch with my soft, fuzzy blanket, cuddle with my dog and have a hot cup of my favorite java next to me and get lost in a good book!

  39. My favorite way to practice self care is taking a nice long shower, doing my whole skincare routine, making a cup of coffee, and snuggling in bed. That’s when I feel like I’m really taking care of myself!

  40. I like to take one day a week to have a home spa day. I scrub myself with my favorite hot salt scrub, then take a hot bath with my favorite bubbles, shave my legs and assorted other parts. I then wash my hair and put in a deep conditioner, and oil my scalp, then put on my heat cap for a great deep conditioning. I give myself a facial, and remove all unwanted facial hair. Then I lotion up, relax on one of my at home back massager/heating pad, watch a good movie, then finish with a fabulous foot soak and scrub, then a mani/pedi. When it’s all done, I feel like a new woman!!!

  41. Taking a nice long, hot bath with a bath bomb, and reading a good book, or watching a movie! If I don’t have much time, I try to do some yoga and stretching!

  42. I like to take really long showers. It is simple, but a huge break amidst the chaos that is my life.

  44. my best way to practice self care is to always read a book in my closet book nook and then take a warm bubbly bath all by myself.

  46. Taking a nice warm bath adding hot water if needed while I sit in there and read some.

  47. I give myself time to rest when I need it. I’m a brain/skull/spine surgery survivor (Arnold-Chiari Brain Malformation) and pushing too hard exhausts me. It was hard to adjust to resting more, but it helps me out so much!

    1. You are so strong! My husband broke his left ankle and shattered his right heel in a fall a year ago, so I understand how adjusting to a new normal can be difficult. You are so strong!

  48. Exercise for me improves my well being and brings my hormones and body into balance. I find it great to calm and distract my mind when I am feeling anxious.

    1. That is so key! So many time we think of self-care as pampering, but most often it’s making sure your needs are taken care of.

  49. A quiet place to sit and relax when everyone is a sleep for about a half hour with a cup of tea and a good book.

  50. I’m a Type 1 Diabetic, so i have to take care myself everyday. I always have to test my blood, take my insulin and watch what I eat.

  51. Aerobic exercise is my form of self-care – hard to always find time but never fail to feel better after.

  52. Getting my monthly pedicure, wax, eyelash fill. Other than that I’m totally low maintenance! lol

  53. My favorite way to practice selfcare is to meditate whenever possible! A little me-time helps from time to time as well!

    1. Meditation is amazing! A school once replaced traditional punishment with meditation and saw disciplinary actions drop and behavior problems decline. It’s truly amazing what you can do by taking that time for yourself.
